Why it matters

What it changes for you.

A payout to the wrong account is slow to recover and expensive to explain. A payout that times out and is sent again is worse: now you've paid twice.

Transfers checks the account holder's name before money moves, so your customer confirms who they're paying. Every transfer carries an idempotency key, so a retry after a timeout never sends the money twice. Scheduled and recurring transfers run on the date you set.

How it works

Step by step.

  1. Check the name

Name enquiry returns the account holder's name, so the sender can confirm before paying.

  2. Quote the fee

The pricing engine returns every fee and tax before money moves.

  3. Send, idempotently

Each transfer carries an idempotency key; a retry with the same key returns the original result.

  4. Hear the outcome

Paid, failed or reversed, as a signed webhook. A timeout is checked, never retried blind.

What you can switch on

Built in, not bolted on.

Name enquiry first

The account holder's name is returned before money moves.

Idempotency keys

A retry after a timeout returns the original result instead of sending again.

Scheduled and recurring

Pay on a date, or every week or month.

Fees before the PIN

Every fee and tax quoted from your tariffs before the sender confirms.

Reversals posted

A failed transfer's reversal posts automatically, with the reason.

Signed outcomes

Each state change arrives as a signed webhook.

  • Pay out to any bank account, with a name check before the money moves
  • Scheduled and recurring transfers
  • Idempotency keys so a retry never pays twice

Paying out sellers every evening

Sellers want their money the same day. The ops team pays them from the bank's portal, one by one, and sometimes to the wrong account.

  1. Each seller's payout account is name-checked when they add it
  2. Each evening, a transfer is sent for each seller's balance
  3. Timeouts are checked, never resent
  4. Sellers see 'Paid' with a reference

Sellers are paid daily, to the right account, without anyone typing account numbers.

Rent sent on the 1st

Landlords expect their rent share on the 1st, and staff forget or send late.

  1. A recurring transfer is set up for each landlord
  2. It runs on the 1st of every month
  3. Fees are quoted and shown on the landlord's statement

Landlords are paid on the day, every month.

Refunds that don't double

Refunds are sent from a script. When the bank times out, the script retries, and some customers are refunded twice.

  1. Each refund is a transfer with an idempotency key
  2. On a timeout, the same key is retried
  3. Bridge returns the original transfer's result instead of sending again

Every customer is refunded once.

Questions about transfers

Can we pay to mobile money?

Not yet. Transfers go to bank accounts.

What happens on a timeout?

The transfer's outcome is checked. Retrying with the same idempotency key returns the original result; it never sends again.

Is the name check optional?

It runs before the transfer; your app shows the name so the sender can confirm.
