A Saturday at the market

“Abeg, do you have cash?”

The seller has no change, the card machine has no signal, and the network bar is empty.

With Bridgemoni, you hold your phone near theirs, enter your PIN, and you're both done. No signal, no data, no tower.

How it works

Five steps. The first two happen once.

  1. Link this phone

A key is generated on this phone and never leaves it. Only this phone can spend the money it holds.

  2. Move money to your phone

Top up “On this phone” from your main account while you're online. The fee is shown before your PIN.

  3. Tap to pay

Hold your phone near theirs. Pick them from Phones nearby, enter the amount and your device PIN.

  4. Receive

Your phone shows your name to people nearby, and how much more it can take.

  5. It settles

Next time either phone is online, the tap settles with the bank. Or tap Settle now.

How offline taps settle

You always see exactly what's still in the air.

  1. 1 · Phone to phone

    Money moves straight away.

  2. 2 · Signed by both

Each phone signs the tap with its own key.

  3. 3 · Settled

Next time either phone is online.

Who it's for

For the places the network forgets.

Traders

Take payment at the stall when the network is jammed.

Riders and drivers

Get paid in traffic, under a bridge, out of town.

Events

Thousands of phones, one mast. Pay anyway.

Families

Pay a relative at home when the network is down.

Keep it safe

Money on your phone is like cash in your wallet. If the phone is lost, stolen, wiped or Bridgemoni is reinstalled before it settles, that money can be lost, and neither Bridge nor our banking partner covers it. Keep only what you need on the phone, and freeze a lost phone from another device straight away.
